A python developer from New Zealand has been arrested for his role in developing a social bookmarking tool for the iPhone, iPad, Android and Windows 10.
Marta Piaget, 29, was arrested on Saturday for the theft of $8,000 worth of software from her former employer, the Software Development Laboratory (SDL), and then selling it for a profit, the Wellington District Court said on Tuesday.
Piaget pleaded not guilty to the charges.
SDL is an international software development company based in New Zealand.
On Sunday, Piagett was released on bail, the company said in a statement.
“We apologise for any distress this may have caused to anyone, and we would like to extend our sincere apologies to Marta and her family.”
The company said Piagette was released with a curfew of three hours.
Pigeon Piagets Twitter account is full of jokes about the incident.
