ios users are already seeing the first glimpse of the app’s real-world features coming to iOS devices in 2019, as the ios team announced today that its upcoming app is real.
According to the iO5 developer, his app, iO, is going “to have real-time weather, social features, maps, traffic, and even traffic alerts, all in the background of a photo that is always in your ios gallery.”
According to iO’s website, the app will be available in both the iOS and Android apps as well as on Windows Phone, Mac OS X, and Linux.
iO says that the app is expected to launch later this year.iO is part of a broader push for ios apps to be “real” apps, which means that developers can’t just add more bells and whistles for users to see, but must actually add the things users want to see.
For example, ios launched its own app store back in 2015 that allowed developers to create a range of apps that could be bought or sold.
The platform’s developer community has since expanded to include Apple TV, Google Play, Amazon, and Microsoft.
ios will also offer its own cloud service called ios App Store, which will allow users to download apps directly from the platform.ios is expected launch in 2020.
